BUREAU OF RECLAMATION TAYLOR PARK OPERATIONS UPDATE

May 21, 2026:

Taylor Park Operations Update – increase release from Taylor Park Dam to 25 cfs. On May 21, the scheduled releases from Taylor Park Dam will increase to 175 cfs from 150 cfs. The next scheduled change will be on June 1 to 200 cfs.

TLUG MEETING NOTICE

The next Taylor Local Users Group meeting for the 2026 water year will be Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. both in person at the UGRWCD Conference Room at 210 West Spencer Avenue, Suite A, Gunnison Colorado and via Zoom video/teleconferencing.

As specified in the Taylor Park Reservoir and Taylor/Gunnison River Local User’s Group Process document (see link below), the UGRWCD is required to seek input and direction from the various water users of the Taylor River, Taylor Park Reservoir and the main stem of the Gunnison River above Blue Mesa to optimize operations for all users.  

Therefore, the TAYLOR LOCAL USERS GROUP was established with the appointment of interested representatives from each user group to meet regularly during the spring and summer to review operations and reach a consensus recommendation that benefits all users.
